Blackjack 5 Hand Rules and Strategy
No matter how many hands you play, each hand consists of two cards face up. The dealer begins the game with 2 cards dealt, one face up, one face down. The dealer continues to draw up if he has 16 or less and stops playing if he has 17 or more (including soft 17).
This option allows you to double the stakes when you are sure that the next card will help you to beat the dealer. But attention, if the dealer has Blackjack and his first card is equal 10 points, you will get your double bet back. But if the dealer has blackjack and his first card is Ace, you will lose this double bet.
You can also multiply your chances to win by choosing split option. It can be activated on condition that you have two cards of the same value. For example, you can split Jack and King or Ten and Queen etc. Note that this option implies additional stake equal your initial bet. So, splitting allows you to have one more hand. Don’t forget that if you split Aces, you can draw only once on each hand.
You should choose this option in case if the dealer’s first card is Ace. To be more exact, you gamble on the dealer’s having blackjack. Insurance requires additional bet equal half of the initial bet. If the dealer has Blackjack, you loose nothing. But you lose the insurance amount, if the dealer doesn’t have Blackjack.
10 Card Charlie
If the player draw 10 cards without going bust (without exceeding 21 points), his hand wins automatically, excepting cases when the dealer has Blackjack. This winning combinations is also applicable on a split hand
